We design solutions to achieve digital inclusion for isolated populations in the region. We see the Internet as a development tool from the perspective of communities and in particular of the women of the Gran Chaco americano.
We work on access to connectivity, facilitating computer equipment for centres, digital literacy and the strategic appropriation of information and communication technologies for communities.
Goals
- Support the strengthening of organizations through access to technologies that reduce isolation and improve their adaptation and resilience capacities to climate change.
- Facilitate the incorporation and appropriation of technological innovations, develop new specific digital tools that respond to the problems of each community, with an intercultural, gender and bilingual approach.
- Strengthen local and regional economic activities and productive ventures through access to ICTs.
How do we do it?
Under the name of Nanum CentersThrough the installation of antennas, mobile technology and solutions that enable Internet connection at the headquarters of organizations, we provide computer equipment (notebooks, tablets, smartphones) and conduct training for the strategic appropriation of ICT, which generates new intra-community possibilities, also mobilizing network resources and driving access solutions to other basic services.
These centres are managed and led by women from the same communities who are trained as tutors seeking to preserve, give continuity to and enhance the pre-existing knowledge in the territory through strategic appropriation.
