We seek to promote women's autonomy by improving their economic activities, organizing their own associative environment in which they can share experiences, improve their self-esteem and their quality of life.
In recent years, it is women who have demonstrated leadership in their communities, while empowering themselves, training themselves and managing to influence other aspects of community life such as sexual and reproductive rights and adult education.
Goals
- Encourage rural women to be protagonists of community political life.
- Promote transformation processes so that they actively form part of decision-making spaces at the local, national and international level.
- Improve the quality of life, economic development and emancipation of rural women as social subjects.
How do we do it?
We create spaces for women to form associations based on their cultural characteristics. The objective is to recover their own spaces, strengthen them as social and political subjects for economic autonomy and to allow them to sit at decision-making tables with state, non-state and community actors, generating public policies.
We provide spaces for meeting, training, awareness-raising and strengthening to prevent and eradicate all forms of violence against women with different areas of government, international cooperation and the private sector.
We make visible the work of rural women and their capacity for transformation through the use of technologies.
We generate and participate in networks to influence public policies with an intersectional vision. Thus, Fundación Gran Chaco is part of the Women20 delegation, the G20 working group on women's economic empowerment, we participate in the Women and Gender Constituency, the official civil society group on gender and climate change of the COP, and we are part of the Civil Society Advisory Council of UN Women. Likewise, as an organization, we are dedicated to training state and non-state actors in territorial approach methodology, intersectionality, gender and climate change.
