Throughout 2024, we strengthened a development model based on the active involvement of local communities, innovation and networking. Against a challenging global backdrop, we supported women, young people, and indigenous and rural organisations in developing solutions that promote inclusion, access to rights, income generation and the conservation of natural resources.
Through our programmes on sustainable economic development, digitalisation, organisational strengthening and leadership for rural women, we expanded opportunities for thousands of people in the Gran Chaco Americano. The enhancement of native forests, the integration of technologies, the development of new leadership and the strengthening of value chains have demonstrated that it is possible to generate development that reflects local identity and is sustainable.
This report brings together the key results, lessons learnt and challenges from a year in which we reaffirmed our conviction that the answers to global challenges originate in the local communities, hand in hand with those who live in and care for the Gran Chaco.
