COMMUNITY TOURISM

We perceive community-based rural tourism as an activity that takes into account the existence of the community and its demands, helping the population contemplate the type of development they desire and how growth can occur without altering the culture and organization of the community. Therefore, in collaboration with women’s associations in the Gran Chaco, we develop socially responsible, economically viable, values-driven, artistically sensitive, productive, and environmentally consistent proposals.Through these experiences, we promote the understanding of culture, the identity of communities, environmental conservation, and sustainable development, ensuring that the traditional way of life and work for local families remains unchanged.
Objectives
How do we do it?
We collaborate with women’s associations as local actors, promoters, and leaders of the tourism initiative. They play a crucial role as trainers and monitors in the technical aspects and quality control of the entire production chain. In this regard, we provide technical and pedagogical support to the coordinators. The women’s associations are the ones who receive training as Tourist Informants, contributing to the content of itineraries and activities offered to visitors.Furthermore, the development of the sector allows for the expansion of service offerings, including hospitality and entertainment. Simultaneously, language training, primarily in English and French, is provided to women.
